I am just writing to thank you for the great job you did on the office you added to my house. I get compliments on it every time I have a new client visit. The design is open and nonstandard, with its cathedral ceiling, angled walls, custom windows and 90-degree angle in sight. In addition, the craftsmanship in the execution is apparent. The first thing people ask is “who built this for you?”

One thing I am most pleased about is the fact that it is integrated into the existing house without looking like an addition. I also appreciate the custom work surfaces and great finishing detail.

I also appreciated the way that you handled the many challenges that arose during construction including a faulty architectural design and incorrect information about set-back requirements, both of which required last minute changes in plans. It gives meaning to the “custom” in Powell Custom Homes.

How has this happened in just 10 short years?

Simple, you treat all your customers the way you treated us 10 years ago, as friends and yes, even as family.

An example, last winter we experienced a leaky garage roof 9 years after installation. I called Randy and Steve, they came out, looked over the situation and sent a roofer the next day. About 1 month later, after a heavy rain it leaked again. I called, they sent one of the supervisors the very next day to fix it successfully.

Show me another company that would do that!

We have met their Mom and Dad, babysat Randy’s twins, and attended Joe Alexander’s (Superintendent) wedding reception.

I had lunch with them during their building process and bought another adjoining lot and a half from them.

If we haven’t said enough, call us anytime!

Dear Steve,

It is with double pleasure, at least, that I,my wife Carie and Children Mac and Mo wish you and your staff the greatest of congratulations on the relocation to your new office site. We are sure that this could have been accomplished only with the highest level of success for which you are known.

On a professional level as the County Administrator, I am pleased to have your operation in Van Buren County. Your efforts bring both substantial economic development and a high quality of life to our County. This is no small feat.

Personally, we can offer only high praise and thanks. The best way that this can be put into words is that you have made not just a house but design a home. For that we are grateful customers. As for the neighborhood in general, we were especially pleased to see you in patrol to make sure our streets were safe from speeding contractors and feuding neighbors!

We would like to commend your company on the job you completed for us.

Last week your company restored our roof on our 1924 historical building, “The Stone Ridge Inn” restaurant on Red Arrow Highway in Mattawan.  The contractor and his crew helped to make this project a pleasant and memorable experience for us.  The crew was always punctual and courteous and kept the work area clean and neat.  The project was done ahead of schedule and was done exactly the way we had anticipated. The crew was able to handle the “construction supervision” of my husband “Bucky” with patience and endurance.
